In April 2014, Vancouver based private equity fund Headwater Equity acquired a majority interest in 911 Industrial Response.

911 Industrial is an independent, Grande Prairie, Alberta-based provider of industrial emergency medical services to remote industrial locations and facilities in Western Canada. The Company provides a premium service with highly trained staff and a fleet of mobile treatment centres.

Stormont acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the company and its shareholders including:
 

• Identified suitable strategic and private equity partners
• Managed the process with multiple counter-parties
• Negotiated commercial terms
• Closed the transaction

 
Headwater has partnered with the existing owners to help them grow the business. Headwater Equity Partners is focused on making private investments in lower mid-market Western Canadian companies.
 
This transaction provided liquidity to the 911 Industrial shareholders as well as a growth-oriented partner to support the company’s ambitions to expand operations in Western Canada.
